Mike Piazza Art
 Mike Piazza played sixteen seasons in the Major Leagues. He was originally drafted in the 62nd round of the 1988 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Mike made his Major League debut playing in 21 games in 1992. He won the National League Rookie Of The Year in 1993. His 35 home runs were the most ever by a rookie catcher and the most ever by a Dodger catcher. He was named the 1996 All Star Game MVP after hitting a double and a home run at Philadelphia's Veterans Stadium. Mike's .362 batting average in 1997 was the highest ever by a National League catcher and tied a Major League record with Bill Dickey who also hit .362. His ten consecutive Silver Slugger Awards are a record. He hit thirty home runs eight consecutive seasons, nine total, and hit .300 or better nine straight years from 1993 to 2001. Mike Piazza finished with 427 home runs, the most ever by a catcher, and had a .308 career batting average. In 2007 Mike Piazza played in 83 games with the Oakland A's before retiring at the end of the season.
